Tia Tanaka was born in Indonesia on March 15, 1987. At only
five-foot two-inches, this one hundred pound lightweight, has topped
one hundred films. She is also known as Mulan Wang and Sasha Lei.
Emigrating to the United States at age one with her Vietnamese-French mother,
the young girl attended University, majoring in psychology, when her
fortunes redirected her to the movie industry, where she has won awards as
the Best Asian Starlet and the Favorite Female Rookie.
Tia Carrere, sometimes misspelled Tia Carrera, was born January
2nd, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii, as Althea Rae Duhinio Janairo. Her roots
are Spanish, Chinese, Hawaiian and Filipino. Wanting to being a singer,
she did not make it past the first round in the 1985 Star Search, but was
later discovered in a Hawaiian grocery store, and given a role in the
minor movie, Aloha Summer. She found her way to Los Angeles where she
worked as a model and in Soaps. It wasn't until she played a role in
Wayne's World that sent her on an upward path through movies and
television, until she reached her own series in the 1999-2002 Relic Hunter
as archaeology professor, Sydney Fox.
Tia Mowry, was born July 6th, 1978 as Tia Dashon Mowry, in West
Germany, to an Italian-American U.S. Army father and African-American
security guard mother. Along with her identical sister, Tamera Mowry, the
girls entered pageants and talent shows in their early teens, until they
both found their fortune opposite one another in the television sitcom,
Sister, Sister. She went on to star in Disney channel movies and
eventually achieved a lead role in the television series, The Game.
Tia Leoni was born on Feb 25th, 1966, as Elizabeth Tea Pantaleoni,
in New York City, to her Texas nutritionist mother and Italian-Polish
corporate lawyer father. The granddaughter of a film and stage actress,
Tia began her career in television series and movies, including the hit
movie Bad Boys with Martin Lawrence. Her numerous subsequent roles always
skirted the fringe of success, and it wasn't until she was cast along with
Sam Neill and William H. Macy in Jurassic Park III as the noisy and
not-so-cautious mother that she achieved her most notable of roles. (She
was always stomping around making as much noise as she could, while the
audience cringed, knowing that eventually she would attract the attention
of a hungry dinosaur or two). She is also known for her second marriage
to actor David Duchovny with whom she has had a family.
Tia Texada is the stage name of Tia Nicole Tucker, who was born in
Louisiana on December 14th, 1971. An actress and singer, Tia appeared in
numerous television series and movies. Her best role was that of Maritza
Cruz in the television show, Third Watch. She also initiated a singing
career, her vocals being featured on television's Static Shock and
Dawson's Creek.
