Rosa Blasi

Rosa Blasi was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 19, 1972 with roots that draw from Ireland, Italy, and Puerto Rico. Rosa enjoyed working on stage from the age of eight and continued throughout her school years. She worked for the Piven Theatre Workshop in Chicago and then Second City. She performed in many stage productions and went on to musicals, eventually touring with Kenny Rogers. Like many up and coming stars, Rosa made the big move to television, appearing in the daytime soap "The Bold and the Beautiful" in a recurring role. After brief appearances on the popular comedy "Married ... With Children" she acquired a spot on the MTV sitcom, "Hitz". To her growing resume, she added "Caroline in the City," the Emmy-winning "Frasier" and "Beverly Hills 90210" and "CSI: Miami."

Rosa expanded her performances to television and radio voice-overs and became a favorite of guest shows, not only for her stunning beauty but also her wit and humor. For much of her career, Rosa was struggling with her ethnic image, which caused her to be rejected for many roles. Thanks to a rising tide of latinas and latinos, such as Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias, there suddenly developed a strong demand for Rosa Blasi's many talents. Rather than just being a charming and versatile guest, Rosa captured a role in a made-for-TV movie called "Noriega: God's Favorite" (2000) which garnered for the young latina actress the only significant praise that the movie was to generate. It was her later work in "Strong Medicine" on the cable network that debuted in 2000 that has stirred a growing number of male fans that has ultimately made her a hot commodity for feature films. Her debut took place in 2004 in the eerie horror flick "The Grudge" along with Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Married to a New York Giants fullback, Rosa continues to be a sought after talkshow guest.
