Leonor Varela was born in Santiago, Chile on December 9th, 1972,
the daughter of Francisco Varela, a famous Chilean scientist. Her family
left Chile to go to Costa Rica, when she was young, due to political
unrest. She later lived variously in Germany, France, and the
United States. After starting her acting career in children's films, she
played in a Chilean soap opera, Tic Tac, where she gained her fame, and
went on to the big screen, eventually playing the main character in the
television movie, Cleopatra.
Leonor Watling, was born on July 28th, 1975 in Madrid, Spain. She
first worked on stage and screen in her early teens, and later gained
wider recognition on television in various series. In 2007, she played
alongside John Hurt and Elijah Wood in The Oxford Murders. She is also an
accomplished singer.
