Ines Sastre

Ines Sastre was born November 21, 1973 in Valladolid, Spain. At age twelve, the beautiful young girl accompanied her friend to an audition for a fast-food commercial which she was chosen for. That commercial lead to a movie opportunity two years later, when she debuted as Elvira in her first feature film, "El Dorado" (1987), by Carlos Saura. Just when it looked as if Ines had a developing film career, she won a modeling "Look of the Year" contest, but Ines decided to continue with school and put the modeling career on the back burner. She appeared in several movies, "Johanna D'Arc of Mongolia" (1988) as Giovanna, and in "Fuga dal Paradiso" (1990) as Beatrice.

When the wise but equally beautiful Ines achieved her University diploma, she returned to acting and modeling full-time appearing in the American romantic comedy "Sabrina" alongside Harrison Ford. She found modeling jobs in commercials for Max Factor and American Legend, among others. She then signed a three-year deal with Lancome, taking over from Isabella Rossellini as the title model/actress for a perfume. She also did runway work for Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and Fendi. Ines has appeared on the covers of many major fashion magazines, has been a presenter in Italy as well as a UNICEF ambassador. In 1997, Ines won the Natural Beauty trophy in Paris at the Fashion Awards.
