Ana de la Reguera

Ana de la Reguera was born Anabell Gardoqui De La Reguera in Veracruz, Mexico on April the 8th 1977. At five feet three inches in height, the young girl attended performance arts classes a the Instituto Veracruzano de Cultura. She afterward became the host of Pasarela on Televisa Veracruzano, but left to study acting in the CEFAC (Centro de Formacion Actoral de TV Azteca). Her first professional role was in 1996 (telenovela) and in 1997 her role in Infierno Grande won her the Heraldo award for best female actress. A year later she joined Producciones Argos which lead to a role in Destino and Todo Por Amor, a success that garnered her a Palmas De Oro award.

The actress and equally professional dancer, who is sometimes mistaken for Penelope Cruz and Paz Vega, Ana has found roles in feature films, including her film debut in Por La Libre (2000). Afterward came, Un Secreto de Esperanza (2002) along with Oscar-winning Mexican actress, Katy Jurado, and Ladies' Night (2003). The talented and beautiful Ana has been much in demand for not only her acting, but also for numerous commercials. She has since become widely known for her role as the beautiful nun, Sister Encarnacion, in the Jared Hess film, Nacho Libre.
