Alessandro Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio is a Taurus supermodel who was born in Erexim, Brazil on April 11, 1981. At a time when many models were being discovered in Brazil, Alessandra decided to join a modeling class when she was in her teens. This resulted in her entering the Elite modeling agency's 1996 Look of the Year competition. She did not win, but was nevertheless offered an Elite contract the following year. Appearing first on the cover of Marie Claire (Brazilian issue) she caught the eye of Guess and signed up for their fall Millennium campaign. After becoming a Guess? Girl, she worked for Revlon and Victoria's Secret Catalog. The brown-haired, five-foot ten-inch beauty has roots in Italy and Poland, and among her childhood friends, is included fellow supermodel Ana Beatriz Barros.

As well as being a runway model, Alessandra has appeared on the covers of Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and Capricho. She has appeared in fashion shows for Christian Lacroix, Fendi, Christian Dior, and Oscar de la Renta, to name a few designers. Despite her world class modeling career, Alessandra has continued to pursue her education, seeking a University degree, while she enjoys relaxing on the sands.
